Prefabricated Metal Building Frame Types
When choosing a prefabricated metal building, keep in mind the three types of framework availabale: clear span, single slope, or modular.
Let's review them now:
1. First, there's the wide-span frame system for your metal building. This open styled structure is cost-efficent and durable. What does it entail? No inner load-bearing columns are necessary, for starters.
What sort of units are good for these types of frame? Fabrication plants, auto repair facilities, sports arenas and some farm or ranch structures. Because these interior walls are non-load bearing, you can align and realign your lay out whenever necessary.
Of course, there are limits with clear span. The steel building prices per square foot will increase if the cross measure of the pre-engineered steel structure expands. Also, a clear span steel building frame can be as large as 300 feet wide.
2. Next up are modular frames. Unlike clear span configurations, these employ structural interior weight bearing pillars. The use of inside pillars lessens the cost of both the frame and base of your prefabricated metal building.
Typically, most steel buildings over fifty yards in width will contain internal pillars. The use of the modular frame is specified for manufacturers or plants that require moderate or substantial space inside.
3. Lastly, we come to the single slope frame system. These steel structures have various eave heights for each building sidewall.
Single-sloped metal building roofs mainly utilize a one-half on twelve pitch, but they may be higher pitched. A single slope configuration is used for stores, work areas and mini-storage applications.
